What actually gets in the way

The problems we hear in this field, before anyone mentions a technology.

1

No greenfield project

The ERP has run for years and the processes work. Just with manual transcription in between.

2

The knowledge sits in spreadsheets

Which parameter feeds into a calculation and how is rarely documented anywhere.

3

Downtime is money directly

A system built elegantly but behaving unclearly during a fault is the worse system.

4

NIS2 has reached mid-sized industry

For many the first structured engagement with security beyond individual measures.

5

What obstructs operations

Gets bypassed. A security concept people work around protects no one.

6

Silent failures cost the most

A transfer that fails unnoticed only surfaces once the numbers stop adding up.

About Us

Engineering Across Borders

Camsol was founded with a clear conviction: world-class engineering doesn't need to come from a single zip code. By bridging Germany's engineering precision with Cameroon's emerging tech talent, we've built a model that delivers exceptional results - while creating real opportunity.

Our teams aren't outsourced contractors. They're integrated engineering partners who work alongside our clients daily, using AI-augmented workflows to deliver faster and better.

Every engineer on our team uses AI daily - not to replace expertise, but to amplify it. The result: faster delivery, higher quality, and solutions that scale.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

No, and as a rule that would be the wrong path anyway. We build applications alongside the ERP and connect them rather than replacing it. At an international polymer processor two applications ran with SAP integration, material estimation and shop-floor staff scheduling. The ERP stays authoritative for its data; the application covers what cannot be modelled there.

At the start we do not, and that is the actual effort in the project. The work consists of reconstructing it: which parameters feed into a calculation and how, which rules govern shift staffing, which system is authoritative for which data field. That knowledge usually sits in spreadsheets and in people, not in a specification, and surfacing it is part of the job.

We ask that question during design, not during operation. Failed transfers are retried and stay visible instead of being silently lost. Alongside that come recovery times, failover behaviour and maintenance windows as part of the design. In manufacturing, downtime is directly measurable in money, which shifts priorities considerably against software projects in other industries.

That depends on sector and company size, and we work through the classification together at the start. What is clear is that NIS2 has brought requirements into mid-sized industry that previously concerned mainly critical infrastructure operators. For many companies this is the first structured engagement with information security beyond individual technical measures.

If it is designed against an ideal rather than against operations, yes. That is exactly why we build ISMS structures along actual workflows: hardening along BSI baseline protection, vulnerability and patch management, documented incident, change and release processes that fit your shifts and maintenance windows. A security concept that obstructs operations gets bypassed, and then protects no one.

Yes, and with infrastructure projects that is the norm rather than the exception. For a machine tool manufacturer we own the architecture and operation of a geo-redundant Windows, Linux and MSSQL landscape including high availability, backup design and automation via PowerShell and Ansible. Where you want to run it yourself, we build for handover accordingly.
