Privacy Policy

This is a translation of our German Datenschutzerklärung, which is the legally binding version.

1. General information and mandatory disclosures

Data protection

The operators of these pages take the protection of your personal data very seriously. We treat your personal data confidentially and in accordance with the statutory data protection regulations and this privacy policy.

Using our website is generally possible without providing personal data. Where personal data (for example your name, address or email address) is collected on our pages, this is always done on a voluntary basis as far as possible. This data is not passed on to third parties without your explicit consent.

Please note that the transmission of data over the internet (e.g. when communicating by email) may have security gaps. Complete protection of data against access by third parties is not possible.

Controller

The controller for data processing on this website is:

Camsol Services GmbH
Tobias Braun
Luisenstraße 15
78112 Sankt Georgen im Schwarzwald
Germany

Phone: +49 176 8123 1509
Email: hello@camsol.io
Website: www.camsol.io

The controller is the natural or legal person who alone or jointly with others decides on the purposes and means of processing personal data (e.g. names, email addresses or similar).

Withdrawing your consent to data processing

Many data processing operations are only possible with your explicit consent. You can withdraw consent you have already given at any time. An informal message by email to us is sufficient. The lawfulness of the data processing carried out up until the withdrawal remains unaffected by the withdrawal.

Right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority

In the event of breaches of data protection law, the data subject has the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority. The competent supervisory authority for data protection matters is the data protection officer of the German federal state in which our company is based. A list of data protection officers and their contact details can be found at the following link:https://www.bfdi.bund.de.

2. Data collection on this website

Server log files

The provider of these pages automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser transmits to us automatically. These are:

  • browser type and browser version
  • operating system used
  • referrer URL
  • host name of the accessing computer
  • time of the server request
  • IP address

This data is not merged with other data sources. The basis for the processing is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR, which permits the processing of data for the performance of a contract or pre-contractual measures.

Cookies

This website sets no cookies. When you visit our pages, nothing is stored on your device or read from it - neither cookies nor comparable techniques such as local storage or session storage. Consent under section 25(1) of the German TTDSG is therefore not required, and accordingly you will not see a cookie banner here.

If you use our contact form, nothing is stored beyond the transmission of the details you enter. For audience measurement, see section 4.

3. Hosting

Hetzner Cloud

We host our website with Hetzner Online GmbH, Industriestr. 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen, Germany (hereinafter “Hetzner”). Hetzner is a German hosting provider whose data centres are located in Germany and Finland.

When you visit our website, your personal data is processed on Hetzner's servers. In particular, the server log data mentioned above may be transmitted to Hetzner.

Hetzner is used on the basis of Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. We have a legitimate interest in the most reliable presentation of our website possible. Where corresponding consent has been requested, the processing is carried out exclusively on the basis of Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR. Consent can be withdrawn at any time.

We have concluded a data processing agreement (DPA) with Hetzner. This is a contract required by data protection law which ensures that Hetzner processes the personal data of our website visitors only in accordance with our instructions and in compliance with the GDPR.

You will find further information in Hetzner's privacy policy:https://www.hetzner.com/de/rechtliches/datenschutz.

4. Analytics tools

Matomo (self-hosted, server-side)

This website uses Matomo for audience measurement. Matomo is open-source software that we run on our own server in Germany (analytics.camsol.io, Hetzner Online GmbH).No data is transmitted to any third party - it never leaves our own infrastructure.

No script is embedded in your browser. Your browser does not connect to any analytics service. Instead, the page you requested reports the page view to our own server, which forwards that information to our Matomo instance.

No cookies are set and no identifiers are stored on your device. This means you cannot be recognised across page views or visits. We therefore cannot report on "users", "sessions" or returning visitors; what is measured are page views.

Data processed: the page requested (URL and page title), the referring page, the page language, the time of the request, your browser identification (user agent) and your IP address. The IP address is truncated by two bytes before storage and serves only to determine the country; the full address is never stored. The referrer is anonymised as well. Raw data is deleted automatically after 180 days. No form content, email addresses, names or advertising identifiers are processed, and Matomo's user ID feature is disabled.

Legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in the statistical analysis of access patterns in order to improve our service. As nothing is stored on or read from your device, consent under section 25(1) of the German TTDSG is not required - which is why you will not see a cookie banner here.

Objecting: if your browser sends Global Privacy Control(Sec-GPC), we do not process your visit. GPC is sent by Firefox, Brave and DuckDuckGo among others, in some cases as a "Do Not Sell or Share" setting.

Independently of that, you can object permanently here:disable audience measurement for this browser. Doing so sets a cookie as the single exception to the rule above. It contains nothing but the value "1" and serves only to suppress the measurement; it holds no identifier and allows no recognition. You canundo this objection at any time.

Requests from AI assistants

When an AI assistant such as ChatGPT, Claude or Perplexity requests a page of this website - because someone asked it a question, for instance - we count that request in Matomo as well. Such services do not execute JavaScript, so the report is sent directly from our server. We identify them by their user agent, which carries the name of the service.

Only the page requested, the user agent and the time are processed. No IP address is transmitted or stored. These requests come from a server operated by the provider concerned, not from your device, so they establish no personal reference to you. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest lies in understanding how our content is found.

Access measurement on personalised campaign pages

For direct mailings we create personalised pages that can only be reached via the QR code or link in the letter concerned. These pages load a 1x1 pixel image from our own server (pilot.camsol.io) so that we can tell whether and when a letter was opened. This processes the time of access, the campaign page requested and the connection data transmitted for technical reasons. No cookies are set.

Because each of these pages is assigned to one recipient, an access is attributable to a person. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest lies in measuring the success of our direct outreach. You may object to this processing at any time under Article 21 GDPR. The general pages of this website do not contain this pixel.

5. SSL / TLS encryption

For security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, such as enquiries you send to us as the site operator, this site uses SSL or TLS encryption. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the fact that the address bar of the browser changes from “http://” to “https://” and by the lock symbol in your browser bar.

When SSL or TLS encryption is activated, the data you transmit to us cannot be read by third parties.

6. Contacting us

If you contact us by email, your enquiry including all personal data resulting from it (name, email address, enquiry) will be stored and processed by us for the purpose of handling your request. We do not pass this data on without your consent.

This data is processed on the basis of Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR where your enquiry is connected with the performance of a contract or is necessary to carry out pre-contractual measures. In all other cases, the processing is based on our legitimate interest in effectively handling the enquiries addressed to us (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR) or on your consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR) where this has been requested.

The data you send us via a contact enquiry remains with us until you ask us to delete it, withdraw your consent to its storage, or the purpose for storing the data no longer applies (e.g. after your request has been dealt with). Mandatory statutory provisions - in particular statutory retention periods - remain unaffected.

7. Rights of data subjects

Within the applicable statutory provisions, you have the right at any time to:

  • information about the personal data we store about you (Art. 15 GDPR)
  • rectification of inaccurate personal data (Art. 16 GDPR)
  • erasure of the personal data we store about you (Art. 17 GDPR)
  • restriction of processing of your personal data (Art. 18 GDPR)
  • data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)
  • object to the processing of your personal data (Art. 21 GDPR)

If you would like to exercise your rights, an email to hello@camsol.io is sufficient.

Where data processing is carried out on the basis of Art. 6 (1) (e) or (f) GDPR, you have the right at any time to object to the processing of your personal data on grounds relating to your particular situation. You will find the respective legal basis on which processing is based in this privacy policy.

8. Validity and changes to this privacy policy

This privacy policy is currently valid and dated March 2026. As our website develops further, or due to changed statutory requirements, it may become necessary to amend this privacy policy. You can call up and print out the current privacy policy on the website at any time.
