Is it a contradiction for a tech startup to send handwritten letters? Yes, the letters really go out by post.
It may be a contradiction. That is exactly why we do it.
A letter with a real stamp
Our audience was small and clear: people in venture capital. For each one, we wrote their own success story. Then we put it all on paper. As a letter, with a real stamp on it.
The surprise
When I tell people about it, there is often a short moment of surprise. The letters look handwritten. But a machine wrote them. It copies real handwriting.
Calliscribe helps us with this. The startup builds its own machines. They write letters like these, among other things.
In the end, something lands in the mailbox that feels different. It looks like someone really took the time.
Attention is getting rare
That is the point. AI makes many things the same, faster and automatic. The more it does that, the more we value what shows attention. Respect. A person who makes an effort.
We do not use technology to cut the human part out. We use it so the human part can reach many people at once. And so new points of view can appear.
What makes AI exciting to me
To be honest: the most exciting use of AI, for me, is not the one that replaces people. It is the one that makes room for them again.
